Here are our board members!
Deanna is a senior Chemical Engineering and International Studies dual degree who has sat on the MSF board for four years. On campus, she is the managing editor for The Lafayette newspaper, a PR and Marketing Chair on Student Government, a tour guide, and an Excel scholar in the History department. Deanna has traveled abroad with Lafayette to Madagascar, Madrid, and most recently to Senegal!
Eman Shahzad is a junior Biology and Women’s , Gender, and Sexuality Studies double major on the pre-medical track. Eman is the secretary of the South Asian Students Association, as well as the Director of Diversity and Inclusion for Pi Beta Phi. Eman also does computational chemistry research under Professor Heidi Hendrickson. Fun fact, Eman’s name backwards is name. She also spends most of her time in RISC.
Treasurer Lauren Lapsley ’22 is from New Albany, Ohio completing a dual degree in Neuroscience and International Affairs and on the pre-med track. On campus, she is also a captain for the Women’s Swim Team and student representative for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Timmy is a junior double major in Engineering Studies & Theater from Staten Island, NY! He is the event planner for Marquis Scholars & Fellows and this is his second year on the MSF board. On campus, he is also Director of Marquis Players, an arts houser, and an orientation leader!
Rachel is a Junior Integrative Engineering Major with a concentration in Environment and Energy. She hopes to earn a PhD in Civil Engineering after graduating. On campus she is a member of the Cross Country and Track Team, Co-President of the Engineering Student Council and involved in research. Her hometown is in Peterborough NH where she enjoys going hiking with friends and her dogs.
Becca is a junior English and Theater double major from Monticello, Minnesota. On campus she is involved in Arts Society, Marquis Players, Ambassadors of Lafayette, college theater, and is an Arts Houser. She also works in the theater scene shop and as an admissions office worker. A fun fact about Becca is that she has never broken a bone but got a concussion in a theater production last year.
Teni Bakare is serving her third year on the MSF board. Originating from Chicago, IL, she enjoys being in the city and exploring various parts of the Lehigh Valley. She is an International Affairs major and is planning on study abroad in South Korea Spring of 2022. A fun fact about Teni is that she is the farm supervisor at LaFarm and enjoys bringing her friends to her favorite place on campus.
Harshil Bhavsar ’23 is from northern NJ and is pursuing his interests as a Neuroscience and Biochemistry dual degree. On campus, Harshil dedicates his time to MOSAIC, Laf EMS, independent student research, being a General Chemistry TA and an RA. After graduating, Harshil hopes to attend medical school and get his MD/PhD. A not-so-fun fact about Harshil is that he basically lives in Hugel and RISC.
